Perspective

The idea of using acrylic to offset cutouts is something that has been on my mind for a while. Growing up in New England, I was constantly exposed to conventional paintings featuring boats, waves, and mountains, I went in a bit of a different direction, infusing the acrylic with edgy elements of drug imagery and nudity. This act of rebellion is liberating, a deliberate deviation from the norm that characterizes my surroundings. The artwork challenges viewers to look beyond the rigid, often puritanical, boundaries set by society. By engaging with the piece from specific angles, one can uncover hidden details, an effect uniquely possible through the added dimension of depth.
